Choosing a care home can feel daunting. We explain each stage, answer questions openly and help you decide whether Springfields feels right.
1. Initial conversation
Call or email us to discuss the situation, the support being considered and any timescales. We can then arrange an unhurried visit to the home.
2. Personal visit
Meet members of the team, see the shared spaces and available rooms, and talk through routines, preferences and questions.
3. Care assessment
Before admission, we complete an assessment to understand care needs, risks, medication, communication, mobility, nutrition, interests and what is important to the person.
4. Clear quotation
Fees depend on the room and the level of care required. Following assessment, we provide a personalised quotation and explain the arrangements clearly.
5. Planning the move
If everyone agrees to proceed, we plan the practical details and work with the resident, family and professionals to support a comfortable transition.
Funding
Depending on individual circumstances, care may be privately funded or supported by a local authority or other funding route. We can explain our charges, but independent financial or benefits advice may also be helpful.
